A song composed in 1939 by Hanns Eisler, with words by Bertolt Brecht, covered by English/German avant-rock group Art Bears in 1978 and reworked by Japanese noise unit Ground Zero in 1998. Sachiko M’s sine waves set the stage and strip the ear: from timeless punishment a song suddenly erupts: “In such a country, and at such a time…”
