Accompanying Cate Le Bon’s eponymous single, Home to You was filmed in the neighbourhood of Lunik IX in Košice as a collaboration with protagonists from the city’s sizeable Roma population. The persecution and systemic neglect of Roma has been endemic across Europe, both historically and in recent years. In a wider climate of virulent neo-fascism and xenophobia, the communities are affected on existential levels – from housing and basic services, to employment and healthcare. Upholding the urgency to call out routine discrimination of those who are denied a sense of belonging, moments of dignity and joy shine through in this music video as clarion call.
